Todd Langston was raised in Orange County, works in Orange County and now raises his children in Orange County.
That comes with responsibility in his eyes.
“I feel like I have a duty to continue to make this county a better place to live, a better place to prosper and a better place for my kids to grow up in,” Langston said.
Those are more than words for the H.B. Neild Construction Vice President of Operations, who has been appointed to a one-year position on the Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
His term begins Jan. 1, and Chamber leaders credited Langston’s exceptional leadership, passion, and enthusiasm as qualities essential for driving the organization’s success.
Langston is expected to play a pivotal role shaping the future of Orange County while working alongside a dedicated Chamber team focused on safeguarding the economic vitality of the area, enhancing the business ecosystem, and fostering community growth.
“I believe in a lot of things about Orange County,” he said. “There are qualified people and a hard-working community in Orange County. I’ve been involved in other organizations outside of the Chamber and have seen what those individuals and organizations can do for people in the community, as well as outside the community, through storm relief and things of that nature. I know what our work ethic is. I know we’re a group of people who can get things done. I know we are a group of people who follow through to completion.”
Langston will take on an active participant role in monthly Chamber meetings and contribute to impactful decisions for the organization.
That is nothing new, according to H.B. Neild President Thomas Neild Jr., who credited Langston for a unique ability to meet people and client-groups at whatever station they are at and help them move forward.
“He reliably leads, manages, and mentors in a very sincere way that puts others first,” Neild said. “Whether it is helping coach a little league team, train a new H.B. Neild hire, coordinate a successful Mauriceville Crawfish Bash, or build a mega-project, he invests his time and energy into the things that matter the most for everyone involved.”
Neild said Langston brings an engaging integrity, dedication, and service to the community, as well as longstanding relationships to the Orange Chamber in this new position.
“He wants what is best for his neighbors and all residents of Orange County and is excited for the growth opportunities ahead,” Neild added.
